Elaine started baking as a kid on a potato farm outside Fort Kent, in a family of eight, and spent thirty years in government before she opened her own storefront on Main Street. She's since grown it into a full bakery and cafe, its whoopie pies, cinnamon rolls, and donuts now sold wholesale in about forty stores between Bangor and Ashland. Every other Saturday at six she hands the cafe over to the town for a music night, local musicians and anyone who wants to listen.
